One unit down, one to go!

Today has been such a pleasant, peaceful day. The employees have been so caring and helpful.  Ryan joked that the volunteer must be Polish because he keeps bringing us food!  The other good news is that each unit is only going to run over two hours vs. three.  I can't believe the difference in color of my hands after only one unit!  I'm going to look all rosy and pink after both.  I think my mom and mother-in-law would have thrown a fit if they had seen me pre-transfusion!
